Rock The Skin You're In!
Self-esteem can be directly related to our perception of beauty.

The constant social media cycle of edited photos, portraying unrealistic beauty standards makes embracing our natural beauty VERY difficult. This leads us to comparing and criticizing ourselves, detracting from our self-esteem. All too often we see the correlation of problem skin and low self-esteem at Radiance. It’s heartbreaking to see clients in tears, shoulders hunched, with layers of makeup, mumbling words of self-dislike.
In moments of feeling “beautiful” we’re on top of the world and our self-esteem sky rockets!
Often in follow up visits, clients express this boost in self-esteem with smiles, words expressing the life-changing shift they have experienced and a desire to continue self-love. So how do we achieve a boost in self-esteem?
Our skin is the largest organ of the body and we, as humans tend to judge ourselves by the overall state of our skin. Practicing a skincare routine religiously will boost self-confidence and give us control of our own appearance. Consider the following to add to your daily skincare/self-love routine:
- Eat nutritious food and exercise
- Get enough sleep and never sleep with makeup on
- Stay hydrated and don’t forget sunblock
- Have a few self-love mantras to tell yourself in times of stress
- Pick up a self-love book or listen to a podcast (Suggestion- The Life Coach School Podcast by Brooke Castillo or Oprah’s Super Soul Conversations)
By sticking to these healthy habits, you’ll be well on your way to having better skin, improving your self-esteem and feeling more comfortable in your body!
