How does this energy work? 

The hand piece (looks like a pen) converts electrical energy into electrostatic energy which creates plasma energy. What is micro-trauma you ask with the Plasma Pen?

It looks like immediate, multiple, round scabs in the area treated. This is controlled trauma to the skin. The healing process begins. Inflammation starts, blood flow increases, fibroblast cells are stimulated to create collagen cells, growth factor is released and the collagen deposits. The skin is rejuvenated by this generation of new cells. The collagen and elastin production continues for weeks and months after this “micro-trauma”.

The results of the controlled trauma allow healing of the skin through it’s natural process. This process happens over the course of 12 weeks and beyond. Some folks may require a second or third treatment. We can help you to plan appropriately. You will start to see results after one week but patience is required. This treatment does require the use of topical numbing creams. You should expect the healing time to be about 7 days. It can take this long for the scabs to fall off.
